Goodbye our Beautiful Boy

Such a sad morning saying goodbye to our lovely old boy Tali. Such a beautiful, kind soul he was so amazing with the children and a dearly loved fur babe of mine. He became unwell on Saturday afternoon and by yesterday I just knew it was his time. I have been dreading this time due to his age. Renal Failure started over the weekend. RIP Eagles Talisman ♥♥♥♥ So many will always love you for the beautiful memories you have given them ♥♥♥

Holiday Activities

Posted on April 6, 2016 at 10:30 PM Comments comments (22)

Have you ticked off your children's

Holiday Activities?

I haven't as yet, and we only have one week left. It will be along the lines of archery, shooting, biking, tramping, no hanging around and play ponies for my boys. Teenagers I certainly cannot expect that and it does mean variety which is a good thing!

As I spend so much time with the ponies and have a deep relationship with everyone, they have taught me so much. The knowledge I love to pass on, that is why I provide our programmes and enjoy weekly lessons so much. Sharing, educating, improving children's experiences with ponies, teaching the children to take the time to listen and be present. They can develop the great relationship then learn to feel the magic that is possible with a pony.

Holidays start for children at private schools tomorrow afternoon, so we have Private Lessons available next week Monday, Tuesday and Thursday Mornings.

Need some time out for yourself, join us Equiwalk next Wednesday, we had such a beautiful morning yesterday with the ladies.

Pony Pals & other Holiday Activities are on the last week of the Holidays. From April 26th - 28th.

If your child has expressed an interest in riding, this is a lovely introduction in a safe and caring environment.

The Programme is running for three half days; your child can join us for one session or all.

Love to see you as always

Wishing you beautiful time with your family

Love & blessings Kathryn

As a Introductory Offer join us for the next two weeks on Wednesday April 6th & 13th at the special price of $30 each per session.

Ladies, come and join us at Equiwalk for some of your own time with our ponies. Brush, lead and enjoy their company in the midst of our picturesque property.

No experience needed as we will be with you until you and the ponies feel comfortable together and safe; then we would be delighted for you to wander the fields alone or join us in a group walk. No riding just being!

We are often told that our property has a healing effect and I know first hand from experience that our ponies also have therapeutic talents.

I regularly connect with my ponies. They are amazing if you take the time to listen, as they do give Energy and Heart Connection Healings.

Being in Nature and Earthing yourself is a great way to help create balance.

Perfect if

  • you would like to reconnect with horses but don't want to ride
  • you just love being around horses (you can be 18 or 80
  • you have been afraid of handling horses and wish to overcome this fear
  • your child has a pony and you are not confident in handling it
  • you wish to learn how to tack up and groom
  • you just need time in the country

Whatever your desire, the team and I love sharing our knowledge so you can benefit from your experiences with horses.

Our ponies are School Masters, they teach children to ride, give pony rides for parties and are treasured members of our family.

What to expect

Safety Talk

If it is your first time here a Lesson in Ground Handling and Horse Body Language to keep you safe

Free time to groom, walk with the ponies, or if we all decide we can go for a group walk. We are on hand to help you.

We have found Cinderella's Glass Slipper

Posted on April 9, 2015 at 5:30 AM Comments comments (40)

Our family home is on the market. Sad for a moment, our parents needs are more important. This home is full of beautiful memories. What a wonderful home it was for the MacDonalds.

If we weren't so in love with our ponies and with living "The Good Life" Juliet and I would be in there like a shot to preserve for future generations.

I remember being Three and visiting the house for the first time. A magnificent house, even though, there were scrim walls and ugly carpet. A grand staircase to climb to bed, high ceilings, a pool and wonderful attics these were enough to enchant.

The transformation from the 70's to the 80's, the rambling beautiful gardens of a florist, the dinner parties, the impromptu parties, the friends. Wow, this house has lived and more importantly is loved.

The Weddings celebrated; the new Grandbabies brought home, a 50th Wedding Anniversary and charity events very few houses could boast this.

In this house lies treasures like you wouldn't believe. With parents who love the quality of fine items, many a prop has found the way to Pony Tales. As we start to empty our home, we come across a Glass Slipper, which is so perfect for     Pony Tales Parties new Cinderella Parties.

A home of memories has created my love of creating childhood memories.... we look forward to placing the Glass Slipper on the table to create memories for you and your family.

Filling the Picking Garden & My Heart

Posted on November 12, 2014 at 6:25 PM Comments comments (26)

Flowers have always been an important part of my life. My mother always had them in our home growing up. A celebration is not complete without home grown or wild flowers. We use so many fresh flowers throughout the year for our parties. This rose is Lemon n Lime that we have planted in the Picking Garden. It made me smile this morning on the way to feed the ponies.

Enjoying the rewards of having an established garden. We started designing and planting our garden 21 years ago. I have sent home plenty of bouquets to deserving Mama's, family & friends over the last week.   I had time to arrange flowers in the house yesterday - to me flowers make a home.

A Memory a Day.......

Posted on July 27, 2014 at 3:45 AM Comments comments (2)

A Memory a Day.......

Life is remembered by memories. We have many wonderful childhood memories connected to horses and ponies we often reflect on.

Having always loved photographs of horses and young riders, we had been thinking about a way to invite people to share their precious childhood memories, that are connected with horses and ponies.

Inspired by a friend who is capturing a year in her life by taking a photograph a day, it gave us the idea to create Pony Tales - Sharing childhood memories with                      A Memory a Day.

This is a celebration and an opportunity for everyone to share their wonderful pony tales. Most importantly this is a tribute and thank you to the horses and ponies that we have loved, who have inspired, taught and taken care of us.

If you have an equine photo, artwork or poem with a precious childhood memory connected to it, either of you, your child/children or perhaps a friend or family member from an older generation that you would like to share then we would love you to be part of this collection.

We are so grateful to have the opportunity to share our lives with these magnificent animals. We would love you to feel connected and to share those precious memories too!

We would love to receive your children's artworks, poems & stories too!
